The Human Rights Defenders Network Sierra Leone has on Thursday August 12, 2021 joined the Movement Against Inequality in a training workshop organized for Civil Society Organization on Transfer Pricing.
The Workshops theme was “Building On Government Action to Reduce Inequality.”
The overview of the workshop is to ensure that Civil Society Organization especially the Movement Against Inequality in Sierra Leone Women and Youth Leaders are empowered to Champion Fiscal Justice in the country using the Transfer Pricing Regulation.
The training comes after engagement with the National Revenue Organization and the Ministry of Finance(MoF) along with OXFAM International identified the need for building the transfer pricing capabilities of Sierra Leone and developed transfer-pricing regulations for the country.
This training workshop marks the start of the process of engaging relevant stakeholders to improve advocacy in these areas.
The training was done with support from OXFAM.
In attendance were members of various Civil Society organizations operating in the country.
